How we keep the numbers right

Every numeric claim points to a primary source recorded on the sources page. The site is re-checked after every Social Security Benefits Up-rating Order and after every HMRC Employer Bulletin that touches statutory parental pay. Changes are recorded on the changelog. We do not fabricate, infer or round figures: if the law says 194.32, we say 194.32.

Independence

We make no money from any of the schemes covered. The site has no advertising, no affiliate links, and no sponsored content. Where we link to commercial payroll vendors, we link only because the vendor is part of the operational picture; we do not receive payment for the link.

Contact and corrections

If you spot an error, email oliver at digitalsignet dot com. We aim to acknowledge corrections within 2 working days and publish a correction with a changelog entry within 5 working days.

Not legal or tax advice

The content is general information based on UK statute and HMRC guidance, not legal or tax advice for your specific situation. If you face a contested SMP refusal, a complex Alabaster recalculation, or a redundancy on maternity leave, consult an employment-law adviser or contact Acas.
